Description
2012 was an outstanding vintage for sparkling wine, which is why we waited over 10 years with some cuvées to finally showcase their full potential.
Our Pinot Noir Grande Réserve is a brilliant representative of this exceptional year. It displays both precision and complexity in the glass. This sparkling wine is marked by a distinctive minerality, richness, and impressive length and depth. The nose reveals aromas of matured stone fruits, wild berries, and roasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it opens fresh and lively, with a delicate mousse. The long lees aging expresses itself through subtle notes of vanilla, caramel, and freshly baked brioche. A wonderful pairing with fresh pasta, porcini risotto, or game dishes.
Vintage 2012
Let us begin by saying: 2012 was a remarkable year for our sparkling wine craftsmanship. Rarely have we seen such a harmonious, slow, and complete ripening of grapes. Over time, this vintage has become one of our absolute favorites — even though it wasn’t the easiest year in the vineyard. As the wines matured, their complexity continued to grow. For some cuvées, we waited more than 10 years before disgorging. The 2012 sparkling wines are defined by their intense aromatics, complexity, and longevity. And yet, we believe that even after 10 years on the lees, they still feel youthful — with further potential to evolve without losing their energy.
