Description
Our refined Blanc de Blancs from the 2014 vintage is composed of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc this year.
A small portion was matured in wooden barrels. This sparkling wine is silky, subtle, and elegant, yet impresses on the palate with great complexity and liveliness, along with an especially long finish. 2014 was an exciting vintage that has produced equally exciting sparkling wines. This Blanc de Blancs reveals aromas of quince, grapefruit, and nectarine, complemented by nutty notes reminiscent of freshly baked bread.
For us, it’s currently an absolute favorite!
Vintage 2014
Who doesn’t look back fondly on 2014? Germany became football world champion in Brazil! For us, the 2014 sparkling wine vintage and the 2014 World Cup have a lot in common: both delivered outstanding results and sparked joy.
While winemakers had to prove their skills in what was not an easy year, the footballers fought for glory and honor.
The year began with mild temperatures, leading to an early budburst. Luckily, we were spared any frost in May. June turned out to be quite warm, but the rest of the summer was cool and wet, which slowed down ripening. However, acidity levels remained at an ideal level — especially for sparkling wine.
The 2014 vintage and the 2014 World Cup will be remembered as highlights — if only for the chance to toast and celebrate what a great year it truly was. Cheers and goal!
